See, waterman is very tween defendant so there's really only one copy of each character in the whole thing, So it saves a lot of space. You on the other hand contain a lot of frame by frame and your style requires to tone down the the smooth therefore more edges are created I guess in each line? More complicated shapes and ridges take up more space and require more info? I'm not exactly sure. I hope someone eventually explains this.

Also, are you talking about .fla or .swf in the size here.

Try generating a size report on export. They usually help to pinpoint stuff.

I used to have that problem, but i know how to solve it.
Go to File and then click on "Save and Compact".
That should sort it.

I had the same problem, only much worse, it was about 2 mins and the SWF was 14MB luckily Shadowii2 showd me a awesome tutorial, so I'll send you the link

it also helps to if you have less stuff in you library and if that doesnt work I guess you can run around screaming

MMM...maybe its the version of flash you use..i know flash 8 tends to lag a fair bit.
Mah Flash MX (ver.6) has never failed me.
