I saw the movie last week in a belgian cinema. One of the best animation documenteries I've seen. I've been telling everybody to go see the movie.
the animation was probably done in some 3d program like maya or 3dsmax , flash and after effects. but I could be wrong

Interesting. The art style itself is not new to me (A Scanner Darkly, for example, does the same rotoscope thing), but the fact that it was made in Flash is really dazzling. Story looks good, too. :b

Movie looks ugly as hell. Why would they bother animating that anyway? Israeli movie industry too poor to afford the props required for a war movie?
I don't assume you're really serious, but it was animated because the director couldn't think of a different way to show the flash backs, which are a big part of the movie.
I think you'd understand if you actually saw the film.
The art, style, and detail look amazing.
The only thing that buged me is that all human movement seemed stiff and unnatural.
I will definitely check it out though.
