first things first, check all your audio, if you have wav. then you found the problem, transform all your wav. to mp3.

I hope that helps. I still feel you already know....

Might not be anything to do with this, but if you find yourself colouring, shading and ultimately drawing way too much with the Paintbrush tool...
Well, that increases the size quite a bit.

And it lags the flash program sometimes too.
>.>

Good luck with it anywhoos.

its because flash is a piece of shit that BLOATS whatever you put into it.

import a 2mb mp3 into flash, and save the file.

the fla will be 10-12 mb.

))))))))))))):

It's because you haven't compressed it yet.

When he exports his flash he likely sets it to the highest compression setting.

Well if you lines are not smooth it will raise the file size as well since there's more vector points then a smooth drawing. I think?

you should click the tickbox that says generate a file size report that way you can go over the txt file and pinpoint to a symbol what is blowing up file sizes.

Nothing really pops up, it's just that when a shot changes views is spikes... and when theres any FBF

Flash can't take the amount of talent in your movie, Yotam. You should be flattered.

Try to use graphics/Mc's o: they tend to lower the filesize usage

Briky101 wus here

I GOT IT YOTAM!!!!!!

I USE GRAPHICS

FOR

EVERY

PART OF THE CHARACTER,BACKGROUNDS,EYES

SUCH AS ARMS

LEGS

I TURN THEM INTO

GRAPHIC SYMBOLS

SO

THAT

FLASH

DOESNT

HAVE

TO DRAW

THE

OBJECT

OVER

AND OVER

BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAS THE IMAGE
IN THE LIBRARY!!!

ITS THE BEST WAY!!!
BUT SINCE YOU PROBABLY DO ALOT OF FBF
U SHOULD PROBABLY JUST MAKE BACKGROUNDS AND OBJECTS
GRAFICS AND MAKE SEPERATE LAYERS FOR ANIMATION, BACKGROUND,AND
OTHER CHARACTERS.ETC

maybe you had too many frame by frames

Do you have it as an MP3 or a wav file? Mp3's take up a lot more space with flash. I dunno why it does but it does. Also did you try optimizing the shapes?

FBF animation weighs more than Tween animation, Flash has to register each frame as a new picture, in tween it just memorizes that same picture. FBF flashes can be difficult to transfer, thats what I hate :(

I think it comes down to symbol animation vs more tedious forms.

Check to see whether you are using any Bitmaps or images in the movie.
Then check the compression.
Key frames usually isn't the issue unless you have a lot of layers aswell and lots of filters as well.
My first guess would have been audio but you've said that wasnt the problem. A good rate is about 1mb per minute of animation. Don't be too distressed if it goes over though.

It's definitely the heaps of fbf and the smoothness of your brush. It might help to use graphic symbols for the lipsync and just fbf the inbetweens to make the dialogue look smoother, and to put that all in a nested movieclip for the head, so you can tween that around and just fbf the body.

IONO MAN WHATS WITH ALL THE QUESTIONS

What is this? 2001? Who cares how big the swf is?

I care because if it's too big I can't handle it and export it as a single flash.

........thats sad man but cant wait keep on working now boy keep it up

cant wait did you hear CANT WAIT lawlz its sad to that you cant be voice in my movie ....

Get moar RAM?

It's not a RAM issue, it's flash not being able to deal with such a big .fla
I've tried sending fla's to guys with like 4GB of ram and it still didn't work.
